Do I need a script?+

No. Type a topic and Story Studio writes a hook-first script you can preview and edit before generating. If you prefer, switch to script mode and paste your own narration — up to 60,000 characters.

What is a look?+

A look is the whole visual style of the video in one choice: whether scenes are painted AI art or real footage, the colour grade, the camera moves, how fast the pictures change, and the caption style. There are 33 — 22 AI-art looks and 11 footage looks, filtered by what you make.

Where do the pictures come from?+

With an AI-art look, every scene is painted in that look’s style — each picture a different shot of what those words are about, never the same picture twice. A Short gets several pictures per sentence cut on the words; a long video holds each picture through its sentence with a slow camera move and depth parallax. With a footage look, relevant stock clips are found for each scene and graded to match. Either way, you can review and swap scenes before rendering if you turn on storyboard review.

Will the video be the length I asked for?+

For topic videos, the script is written for your length and the narration is paced to land on it. A pasted script runs as long as it takes to read — the page shows that time before you start.

What does it cost?+

5 credits per 30 seconds at 720p — about 10 credits per minute — with ×0.8 at 480p and ×1.4 at 1080p. AI-art looks add 8 credits plus 1 credit per painted picture (×1.4 at 1080p, where the pictures are painted larger). How many pictures depends on the length and the pacing: a new one every 1.2, 2.5 or 5 seconds in a Short, every 3, 5 or 8 seconds in a long video, so a 20-minute video at balanced pacing paints about 240. Without storyboard review you are charged once, when you create the video, and refunded if the render fails.

Can I review the storyboard first?+

Yes — turn on storyboard review. A prep fee builds the script and scenes so you can edit and swap them — with an AI-art look it includes the pictures, which are painted before you review — and the rest is charged only when you approve. The total is the same either way.

What voices and languages can I use?+

Any voice in your account — including your own cloned voices — narrating in any of 35+ languages. Captions are generated in the same language and on by default.
